National Letting Go of Stuff Dayis always on the fourth Thursday in March.
For 2010 - this national day will be on March 25th
For 2009:
The inaugural reception was held on March 26, 2009 in Nashville, TN to uplift and
honor this important day for self development. It was at the Hampton
Inn in
Green Hills from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. It was FREE to attend, thanks
to our sponsors.
There was a grand display of Feng Shui art pieces on exhibit during the
reception, thanks to artist Robyn Morshead. And author/speaker Patricia Leonard
also spoke briefly about the meaning of this special national day. Then the founder described the future efforts of offering capacity building and empowerment workshops to domestic violence shelters and their clients in 2010 and beyond, using National Letting Go of Stuff Day as an annual measure of progress toward that end.
See pictures below from the inaugural reception held in March 2009.

National Letting Go of Stuff Day is:
A day to claim your personal power
A day to begin measuring your personal success from one year to the next
A day to begin cleaning out your heart - getting rid of all the emotional pain
A day to claim RENEWAL of your spirit
A day to BEGIN LETTING GO of your past situations that are holding you back from your future success
A day to claim your future dreams - as your own
A day to accept and acknowledge what you can and cannot control in your life - and live accordingly
Pass this along and also talk about it at work.
How important is Letting Go of Stuff? In a word - "VERY."
It
is SO important that it now has its own day dedicated to the
philosophy
of - out with the old and in with the new. Not just tossing
stuff out,
but literally going through a process of Letting Go of Stuff.
Join
our sponsors, along with the founder of National Letting Go of
Stuff
Day - Darren L. Johnson and others as they kick off this very
important
nationally recognized day in Nashville, TN.

MISSION of National Letting Go of Stuff Day
To provide a day of acknowledgment for freeing up sub-conscious space
so people all over the United States can begin to experience freedom - from
the inside-out.
This
day provides a chance to individually and openly acknowledge ones
stuff.
A chance to begin the process of moving beyond that stuff. The
first step in
the process of Letting Go of Stuff is to accept and
acknowledge that there
is STUFF.
This day will help people all across the country to take that first step.
PREMISE of National Letting Go of Stuff Day
This
day will also, in the long run, assist people in being more neighborly,
kind, and considerate to one another. One of the foundational premises
of
Letting Go of Stuff is love and forgiveness. The more one can love
and
forgive self, the more one can love and forgive others.
This
day is a celebration of taking a step toward loving and forgiving one's
self, which makes more room, in the heart, for loving and forgiving
others.
